The USSD Vancouver Scholarship Program was founded in 2022 by Master Matt & Ms. Kaci with a vision to provide accessible self-defense training to youth in our community. We believe that self-defense training offers invaluable benefits beyond physical skills. It fosters:
- Mental Regulation: Develops focus, discipline, and the ability to manage stress.
- Emotional Empowerment: Builds confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of personal agency.
Our Mission
To make self-defense training accessible to all youth, regardless of financial limitations. We recognize that many deserving children who could greatly benefit from a positive after-school program may not have the financial means to participate.

Who We Serve

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop essential life skills, build confidence, and learn to navigate challenging situations safely.
